Ahhhh Paul McCartney and the reggae music.
Now obviously I despise reggae music. There are only a few tunes in the genre that I find bearable and one or two that are actually painless to listen to. Other than that its rhythm and style are not my hot beverage and suitable container.
So the only thing that rescues Macca’s effort in reggae music is the lyrical content, which is typical Macca making an effort to make his songs have a more tangible meaning than a light pop song that will be treated as lite trite. No, the lyrics will hardly change the political landscape of those who hear it, but it’s a fair effort from the man who once contributed to the greatest rock/pop band in history (as well as the Beatles).
