This Masquerade – The Carpenters

I never thought I would have to defend easy listening music.  I never thought people would be so offended by music that doesn’t pressure people to excesses of anything except a chilled out state.  Still, this isn’t about defending anything.  The Carpenters rocked … as in they were a very enjoyable music group.  I enjoyed them immensely and a song like this is a good reason why.  Good lyrical narrative, smooth vocals, sweet laid back melody and tune.  Now I respect George Benson’s version and all, but this is just consummate easy listening perfection.  The point is that the song helps you to take it easy.  Enjoy.
