Best of Bond Themes: You Know My Name (Casino Royale) by Chris Cornell

When Daniel Craig made his debut as 007 in Casino Royale it was one of the best Bond films in quite some time.  Not disrespecting the Brosnan era which at least established the Bond brand as something worth taking seriously after some difficulties before his time. By his last Bond though it was fairly clear he had run his stint and as ever the franchise needed refreshing.

Symptomatic of the refreshing was the theme for the movie.  Now fans won’t put it down as among the best, but for me it was a great track.  It made sense to bring in someone who is not a big name to put together a track that was a good rolling Bond theme. It was right for the era and it fit the new Bond for the new audience.

It was and still is an awesome contribution to the great history of the Bond themes. Enjoy.
