Yeah, I’m still out of the loop in terms of regular blogging, but it’s not as though my life has come to a complete halt. I’ve trumpeted the blog of a good friend of mine, Mr. Rob Simmonite and he has been and gone and done up for himself a beauty of a post that informs you why there is excitement about the approaching football season. It’s definitely worth while reading, digesting and reflecting on, even if you couldn’t care less about the beautiful game.
Of course I likewise am very excited about the season ahead. There’s so much to look forward to from the machinations of the contenders for the Premier League title to the intriguing matters in other parts of the league, which is where the interest in the blog entry is particularly appropriate. This weekend, all being well, will see my first experience of a league match – LIVE. I won’t give away too much other than to say it will be played at a stadium that was the venue for FA Cup semi-finals until recently. I am looking forward to that with great excitement. I hope to inform you of how that experience went when it’s all done and dusted.
In the meantime, just think – Football League starting on Saturday, Community Shield on Sunday, Guardian Football Supplement on Monday, all the exciting build-up for the rest of the week and then on Saturday 14th August 2010 … it approaches …
