They saw the ad with the song on, it was criminal to leave it for a bank of all things, so Richard and his mates crafted it for public consumption in the pop market and now I can listen to it with no reference to any bank however much they want me to say ‘yes’ are ‘listening’ or ‘give me extra’.
Nowadays the ads pick the music already released and slap their product on it – which is of course a pity. What’s even worse is that if you keep looking there are some quality theme tunes to programmes that are wasted – wasted – on the programme itself and should pop hits of their own.
