Chelsea Champions – Cheers Carlo and Crew

Posted on Updated on

I’ll write a bit more of my reflections of the league season after the FA Cup final this Saturday.  In the meantime it is only fitting to congratulate Chelsea Football Club on their accomplishment in winning the Premier League yesterday comprehensively in defeating Wigan 8-0.  They of course have done me two very valuable favours.  They stopped Manchester United from winning their 19th league championship – which of course is a record that is precious to me as a Liverpool fan.  They also stopped Manchester United from winning their fourth consecutive league championship – another record which of course is precious to me as a Liverpool fan.

Beyond that when you score 103 goals in a Premier League season and can beat Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United home and away that’s a good reason for you to be considered as worthy contenders for the title.  More on them following their bid to win the double for the first time, but I sincerely hope they can pull it off, it will be a worthy achievement for the side.

Shalom
