If you’ve noticed I have had a thing for management on this blog, especially football management whether it’s through Brian Clough or the current points of malaise with Rafa Benitez.
So it should come as no surprise that a book review coming up on the blog soon is on a book recently published by Barney Ronay called The Manager. It’s subtitle is the Absurd Ascent of the Most Important Man in Football and so promises far more than a studious academic study of the post.
In the run up to that here’s a two part interview with Sir Alex Ferguson the most successful manager in English football history.
As you check out his views on his football managerial career, bear his points in mind and see how they relate to the finding that Ronay has in store. Enjoy.
