Tom Baker and Tom Baker

It goes in phases doesn’t it?  Sometimes you feel like you want to eat Kit-Kat, then you fancy a Dairy Milk, then your persuaded by the merits of Wispa and so it goes.  You’ll be in that phase for a while and the lustre will wear off and you’re onto something else.  Somethings remain constant though, so in as much as it’s different styles of chocolate – it will always be chocolate.  Yeah sometimes you need to quit it because you’ve had too much, but it will come back again and it will always be chocolate.

In the same way I get Dr. Who phases and the fuss and kerfuffle made over David Tennant’s recent departure also adds to the profile raise.  Not that you’d catch me getting caught in all the hype.  (Nervous cough)

In any case whilst enjoying the Dr. Who phase as the flavour of the month, I came across this brilliant sketch by the wonderful Jon Culshaw who does a mean tom Baker, especially in the role of the fourth Doctor.  I’m aware that this is not the first time that Jon has met Tom, I believe they had a radio conversation along similar lines.  This sketch though is brilliant – perhaps a bit too one-sided on Jon’s part, but nevertheless a most enjoyable repartee between the impersonator and the impersonated.  I enjoyed it immensely and hope you do too, so without further ado enjoy.

I also pray every day that it’s not true! You’re never too sure with what Tom says, but even it happens I won’t know seeing as though I don’t watch Eastenders anymore. Still, here’s hoping it doesn’t happen anyway! Thanks for dropping by/
